AQUATIX BASE 20 min by local boat
Bathymetry
The surrounding oceanscape is similar to the general layout of most Amed dive sites. A gradual slope descending eastward into the abyss.
The start of the Lean Wall faces north around 20 meters deep in conjunction with a gulley that aligns with a river draining to the beach. Following the wall north will result in it rounding of to have a final section that faces east.
The Life
The most notable finds at this site are the schooling trevallies that sometimes congregate around wall and a nearby pinnacle. The reef is active and healthy with a variety of fish.
Fewer operators bring divers here compared to Jemeluk or The Pyramids, and the site reflects that in its condition and in its solitude.
Who Should Dive Here
Intermediate experience recommended. Current is generally mild. Itis possible to shore dive this site safely.
Some of the best freedives in Amed happen at sites nobody else is diving that day. Lean is that site more often than not.
