Multi-Day Bluewater Spearfishing Trip

One day gets you a catch. Multiple days gets you a story...

Enjoy two full days (or more) at North Bali's best FADs. Luxury beachfront accommodation, equipment, meals, and speedboat access included. Just bring yourself and hunt.

Multiple spots. Multiple days. Proper hunting.

The best blue water spearfishing in Bali doesn't always happen in one day. It takes time to read the FADs, adjust to the conditions, and start hunting smart.

This trip gives you that time. Go offshore on our speedboat diving for trophies, then relax on the beach in comfortable resort accommodation. Everything is taken care of so you can focus entirely on the hunt.

Spend miltiple days on the water, hunting multiple FADs offshore in North Bali.

The luxury and safety of diving from a 13-meter speedboat built for blue water fishing.

A dedicated spearfishing guide who will be diving alongside you to point out fish, place backup shots, and capture some epic footage of your trip!

All meals are provided throughout the trip, plus your catch grilled fresh each evening.

Transport from North Bali included and accommodation included at a comfortable hotel near the water for two nights.

Who is this trip for?

This trip is for spearos who want more than a day trip. You should be comfortable in the ocean and have basic breath-hold ability. Prior spearfishing experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Experienced spearos who want multiple days hunting pelagics in Bali's open water.

Certified divers ready to step into spearfishing in a guided, safety-first environment.

Pairs or small groups wanting a fully private, immersive multi-day hunting trip.

Travelers with a week in Bali who want to build the trip around something they'll remember.

What's in the water.

The North Bali's FADs sit in mystical, deep, and clear water with visibility that regularly hits 25–30 meters.

Two full days of fishing means more time at more spots, and more shots on species such as:

Mahi Mahi (Dorado): A prized pelagic catch around the world and spectacular on film.

Tuna: The trophy target. Multi-day access gives you the best shot at a big yellowfin.

Wahoo: Magnificent, shiny, torpedo's. One of the fastest fish in the ocean. When they show up, it's a great day.

Rainbow Runners, Almacao Jack, Lesser Amberjack, Triple Tail, Cobia, Giant Trevally, Barracuda, Oceanic Triggerfish, and Filefish.

Unicorns: The FADs always have surprises. We've seen Marlin, Sailfish, Pilot Whales, Sperm Whales, Beaked Whales, Whale Sharks, and plenty of Dolphins!

It's a tight ship. No exceptions.

Every trip runs with proper safety protocols, not as a formality, but because that's how professional spearfishing operations work.

Full safety and hunting briefing before and after every spot you visit.

Feedback and coaching from your instructor to help improve your diving and hunting ability between and during dives.

Your instructor will be in the water diving with you as a dedicated safety diver, not watching from the boat.

Aquatix Multi-Day Bluewater Spearfishing Trip, North Bali

How the trip looks.

Before You Arrive

The trip starts from Amed, North-East Bali. You need to be in Amed by Day 1 morning. If you are travelling from South Bali (Canggu, Seminyak, Uluwatu), allow around 3 hours travel time and we strongly recommend arriving in Amed the evening before. Amed is worth a night on its own.

  • Get a proper sleep before the trip. You will be spending full days in the open ocean.
  • Eat a good breakfast on Day 1 before you meet us. Do not dive on a full stomach but do not show up hungry either.
  • Bring a rashguard, sun protection, and any personal medication (including seasickness tablets if you need them).
  • We will ask about your spearfishing experience level, dietary requirements, and any medical conditions when you book.
  • All spearfishing equipment is provided. Bring your own gear if you prefer, just let us know in advance.

  • Safety briefing covering speargun handling, float line protocol, dive signals, and emergency procedures.
  • Pool session to get comfortable with the equipment and dial in your shot before you are in open water.
  • Q&A with your instructor. Ask anything.

Afternoon | Drive to the North Coast

  • We drive together in a spacious van to the north coast of Bali where our speedboat is based. The drive takes between 3-5 hours depending on traffic.
  • The north coast road is genuinely beautiful and runs along the ocean. We make sure to make short stops to stretch our legs and to stop for lunch on the way.
  • Check in to your accommodation near the water.

Evening | Dinner

  • Dinner together at a local restaurant. Early night. Day two starts early.

Day 2 | First Full Day on the Water

Early Morning | Boat Departs

  • Breakfast at our resort then you'll head to the boat.
  • Your instructor reviews conditions, conducts a safety briefing, and selects the best FADs for the day.

Full Day | Blue Water Hunting

  • Offshore to the FADs. Your instructor is in the water with you throughout the day as your safety diver and hunting guide.
  • Rotate between multiple spots depending on fish activity, current, and conditions.
  • Lunch is provided on the boat.
  • Underwater videography captured throughout the day.

Late Afternoon | Return to Shore

  • Your fish will be cleaned and prepared on the boat for you.
  • Shower off, relax by the ocean, have a beer, check your emails, get a massage.

Evening | Catch Dinner

  • Enjoy the pleasure of eating your catch, grilled fresh at a local beachside restaurant.
  • Your instructor may share some of the video footage from the day to show you how to improve your technique.
  • Early night. Day 3 starts early too.

Day 3 | Second Full Day on the Water and Return to Amed

Early Morning | Back on the Boat

  • Breakfast, then out on the water again. By now you know the spots, your instructor knows your diving, and you are hunting with real intent.
  • Day 3 is often the best day. You are dialed and know what to expect.

Full Day | Blue Water Hunting

  • Same full-day format as Day 2. Your instructor may take you to different FADs depending on conditions and fish reports.
  • Lunch on the boat. Videography continues.

Afternoon | Return and Pack Up

  • Check out of the resort.

Late Afternoon | Drive Back to Amed and Fish Dinner

  • We drive back to Amed together in a spacious Van.
  • You'll arrive back at Aquatix with a cooler full of fish and footage you will not stop watching.

Common questions about the multi-day trip.

Do I need spearfishing experience to join this trip?

You should be comfortable in the ocean and have basic breath-hold ability. Prior spearfishing experience is helpful but not required, your instructor will work with your level throughout the trip.

If you've never spearfished at all, we'd recommend starting with our Learn to Spearfish course first, which covers theory, equipment, and a guided day on the water.

Do I need to be able to freedive deep?

No. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about bluewater spearfishing, and it puts off a lot of people who would absolutely love it.

The fish are not deep. Mahi mahi, wahoo, tuna, and most other pelagic species at the FADs sit right at the surface. They are curious, aggressive, and they come to you. Around 90% of fish shot in bluewater are taken shallower than 5 metres. Some are shot from the surface without a dive at all.

You do not need to be a freediver. You do not need a certification. You need to be comfortable in the ocean, able to put your face in the water, and willing to have a go. The rest is learned on the trip.

What's included in the price?

Everything you need for the trip:

  • 2 nights accommodation near the water in North Bali.
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day)
  • Transport to and from Amed, Bali.
  • Two full days of boat charter at the FADs.
  • All spearfishing equipment, and underwater videography.

The only things not included are alcohol and personal hotel expenses (room service, minibar, spa, etc.).

What equipment is provided?

All spearfishing and freediving equipment is provided: speargun, float line, float, wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel, knife, gloves, weight belt, and weights.

If you have your own gear, you're welcome to bring it, just let us know when you book.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Solo bookings are available at the private rate. You'll have the boat, guide, and full experience entirely to yourself.

What species can I expect to catch?

Species vary by season and conditions, but regularly at North Bali's FADs you'll find mahi mahi, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, rainbow runners, almaco jack, lesser amberjack and triple tail.

Marlin and sailfish are possible on the right days. Multiple days on the water gives you significantly better odds at the bigger, less predictable species than a single day charter. It's also very likely that you will see whales and dolphins too!

What if we don't catch anything?

Spearfishing in the open ocean is real hunting. There are no guarantees. Some days the FADs are stacked and other days conditions are difficult. Over multiple days the odds are significantly in your favour, and your instructor will move spots and adjust tactics throughout to put you on fish. What we can always guarantee is a full effort, proper instruction, and a good experience on the water.

Can I keep the fish I catch?

Yes! All the fish you catch are yours. They'll be cleaned and filleted, and we'll eat your catch for dinner each evening. We only spear fish we intend to eat. Sustainable and ethical hunting is non-negotiable for us.

Surplus of fish can be donated to local families or filleted and vacuum sealed for you to takeaway at additional costs.

Can I extend the trip or add more days on the water?

Yes. The standard trip is 2 days on the water with 2 nights accommodation, but extra days can be added at an additional per-day rate. Reach out when you book and we will put together a custom quote based on your dates and what you want to target.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We monitor conditions closely before and during the trip. If ocean conditions are unsafe or would make for a genuinely poor experience, we'll reschedule affected days at no cost. We won't take anyone offshore in conditions that put them at risk — safety always comes first.

What is a FAD and where exactly do you go?

A FAD (Fish Aggregating Device) is a man-made floating structure anchored offshore. They attract baitfish, which draw in large pelagic species like mahi mahi, wahoo, and tuna. North Bali has a number of local FADs within boat range, plus more remote spots accessible by speedboat. Your instructor will select the best spots each day based on current conditions and fish reports.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Please give us at least 72 hours notice if you need to change your booking. Cancellations close to the trip start date may not be eligible for a full refund, as accommodation, transport, and boat logistics are confirmed well in advance. If you need to cancel due to illness or an emergency, reach out directly and we'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.

What should I ask any operator before booking?

A few things worth checking with any operator before you commit:

  • How many clients per instructor?
  • What certification does the instructor hold?
  • Are clients covered by third-party liability insurance for the duration of the activity?
  • Is the operator properly licensed to run commercial diving activities in Indonesia?

We're happy to answer all of these. Just reach out.
